The easiest appetizer for a holiday party! You only need 4 ingredients to make these and they are seriously sooo simple. Ready in less than 15 minutes and they transport well to a get together!
On a piece of parchment paper, roll out the puff pastry. Add the pesto & Parmesan cheese to half of the puff pastry. Fold the other half on top of the half with the pesto. Cut into no bigger than 1 inch slices - about 6 slices total. Fold each slice over 3-4 times, making each layer smaller as you go. This helps it look more like a Christmas tree! Add the trees to skewers. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Optional: whisk 1 egg in a small bowl and brush the egg over each Christmas tree. It doesn’t change the taste but just helps them get nice and brown on the outside! Bake at 400F for 12-14 minutes. Add cheese cut into stars.
